Plymouth Street Upstairs - Small upgrades, big impact
The upstairs unit at Plymouth Street had good bones — but it needed a few key changes to really work as a rental. The bathroom only had a tub and hand shower (not ideal for four university girls sharing the space), and one of the bedrooms was being used as a walk-in closet. Great for storage, not so great for rent.
We reworked the layout to add a proper shower, demoed the makeshift closet to reclaim a full bedroom (heads in beds!), and gave everything a bright, fresh coat of paint. The kitchen got a full refresh with a new IKEA layout — planned and installed ourselves — proving that with the right approach, even a budget-friendly kitchen can feel thoughtful and pulled together.
This was a lesson in making practical, renter-focused updates — without sacrificing good design or return on investment.
